I'm Austin Bakanec, a business systems analyst who builds automation and operations tooling — the kind of small, defensible systems that take a manual workflow off someone's plate and show their reasoning while doing it. I work close to the operators who use what I build, in Python-first stacks.
How I work
- Start from the mess. Sit with the real workflow before writing code — who touches it, where it breaks, what “done” looks like.
- Ship small systems. Prefer a tool someone will actually run over a platform nobody maintains.
- Show the reasoning. Schedules, pipelines, and agent hooks should be inspectable — not black boxes.
